BABIANA (Baboon Flower)
Babiana bulbs.
Babiana

SITUATION: Likes full sunlight and well drained soil. Some well rotted animal manure, blood and bone or similar should be worked through the soil a few weeks before planting.

TIME OF PLANTING: March to May. Plant 5cm deep and space 7-10cm apart.

WHILE GROWING: No special treatment is necessary. Babianas can tolerate dry conditions very well. If bulbs are to be left in the ground top dress with some well rotted organic matter, blood and bone or similar after flowering and again the following autumn.

DIGGING & STORING: Bulbs can be left in the ground for many years. When necessary they can be dug after the foliage has died down and stored in a dry, airy position until the following autumn.
