TIME OF PLANTING: June to August. Plant with their necks just above
the soil surface and space bulbs 15-20 cm apart.
WHILE GROWING: Sprekelia are hardy and need little attention during
the growing season. A top dressing of complete fertiliser after
flowering will help build up next season’s flower inside the bulbs.
DIGGING AND STORING: Sprekelias can be left in the ground to
naturalise undisturbed for several years. Bulbs can be lifted
between May and August if needed. Store in a dry, airy position.
